The Financial Services Forum at the College of Management is a source of current information and commentary on the health and critical issues facing the financial services industry in Boston and nationally. The Forum has already released nationally recognized studies on the industry,The Hedge Fund Explosion: Is the Bang Worth the Buck?, Down But Not Out: The Future of the Financial Services Industry, The Mutual Fund Industry Investigation: Timing Isn’t Everything, and The Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 And its Effects on American Business. The Forum also publishes the Financial Services Alert which provides discussion and opinion on the critical events shaping the future of the sector. The Forum also has its own Working Paper Series with papers focusing on various topics including those of particular interest to the Boston financial community.

Introducing the Massachusetts Investment Sentiment Index

The Forum is very excited to introduce the Massachusetts Investor Sentiment Index. This Index is constructed daily using stock price information on firms in the Massachusetts Bloomberg Index. It quickly captures reactions of stock market participants to news related to firms that have a significant presence in Massachusetts and news related to the regional and the national economy.
